We'd like to share some of your best pictures with our readers over the Christmas-New Year holidays - but time is running out.

So send us your favourite, recent New Zealand summer holiday picture and be in to win these great prizes, supplied by Canon.

The photo gallery attached shows a selection of the best photos published by the Herald.

To enter, go to newspix.co.nz and click on the contest link at the top of the home page.

You should include your name, address and phone number and a written caption naming the place and people in the photo.

The best pictures are being published in the print edition daily. Entries close on Friday.

First prize:
