Hole in the Wall criminal on the run

Infamous career criminal Simon Allan Kerr is on the run again.

The 48-year-old is wanted by Whangarei police for questioning in connection with a burglary.

Kerr was the leader of the Hole in the Wall gang that used to break through walls and steal safes.

He also made headlines for a 12 day protest on top of Mt Eden Prison in Auckland.

Kerr has been described as Pakeha, 1.9 metres tall and of solid build. He is heavily tattooed with bats inked on each side of his neck.
