An image of an Armourguard van being held up at gunpoint has been released by police in the hopes of tracking down the would-be robber.
The van was held up at the Z Service Station on Roscommon Rd, Manurewa, on the morning of June 27 by a masked man. He got out of a stolen silver Nissan Primera and demanded money from Armourguard staff locked in the van.
Unable to gain entry, the offender and an accomplice fled in the car, which was later found in Burbank Ave.
Anyone with information or who may have seen a silver Nissan in suspicious circumstances around the time is asked to contact Detective James Gemmell on 09 295 0200. Alternatively, information can be left anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
