New Zealand Warriors hooker Lance Hohaia has been granted diversion over an incident outside an Auckland city nightclub late last month.
Hohaia was due in Auckland District Court today on a charge of disorderly behaviour after the incident on May 30. He will return to court only if he fails to meet his diversion requirements.
Hohaia, 22, has already been fined $5000 and suspended from one game in the National Rugby League after the incident which followed the Warriors 21-4 win over Wests Tigers.
Hohaia said after the incident he was sorry he had let everyone down, including management, coaches, players and fans.
"I feel bad for all of them and I'm disappointed in myself."
He said he knew the Warriors club needed to have values and he knew as a player he had to keep them in mind.
Warriors chief executive Mick Watson said Hohaia's behaviour at the night club went against the grain of club and social values.
