A provincial hockey player arrested over an alleged hit-and-run on Ponsonby Rd in which a woman received a serious leg injury was yesterday remanded on bail.
Prasant Nathoo, 22, who plays for the lower North Island side the Central Mavericks, entered no plea when his case was called before a registrar.
He is charged with reckless driving causing injury and failing to stop after a crash to see if anyone was injured.
The 36-year-old woman is in a stable condition in Auckland City Hospital.
