Middle row: Jock Cameron, Dane Davidson Trotter, George Falloon, Ashton Shannahan (captain), Adam Birchall, Mitch Blackwood, Andrew Collerton, Cody Kenavan, Sam Hill. Front row: Anthony Higgison, Patrick Howard. Wairarapa beat Hawkes Bay 1-0 in their opening game thanks to a goal from a stroke by Dane Davidson Trotter. They then lost 1-0 to Hutt Valley but due to the latter losing to Hawkes Bay later in the day the team from their pool to contest the final was drawn from a hat and Wairarapa were the lucky winners there. The final against Taranaki saw Wairarapa dominate most of the game and win 1-0, the goal being scored by Hugh Taylor. The amount of talent in the Wairarapa squad is indicated by the fact that at least three of them could still be participating in under-11year tournaments.
