Hit and run witnesses sought

Otaki police are appealing for witnesses to a hit and run incident.

A white four-wheel-drive slid out of control on State Highway One, about one-kilometre north of Otaki, sideswiping an oncoming car at about 5.30 last night.

The four-wheel drive then hit a fence before driving away heading south.

Sergeant Noel Bigwood said the driver of the other car suffered minor injuries from flying glass, while the two passengers were shaken but not hurt.

He said police want to hear from anyone with information.
