A woman critically injured in a hit and run in Auckland is still on life support, more than a month after she was knocked off her bike.
The 46-year-old nurse, a mother of two, has been on life support since September 10.
She was on her bike when she was hit by a four-wheel-drive towing a trailer at the intersection of Quay Street and the Strand in Parnell just before 9.30am.
The Police Serious Crash Unit said that as a result of information from the public, a vehicle had been identified and they were seeking the driver.
"A black or dark-coloured BMW is reported to have stopped at the scene but left prior to police arriving," Constable Mark Rodgers said.
