An 18-year-old charged with a fatal hit-and-run crash in Christchurch a fortnight ago has been further remanded without plea.
Harry Silcock was due to make a second appearance at Christchurch District Court today after being charged with being the driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal accident and failing to render assistance.
Sean Hutt, 20, died and three other people were injured when they were hit by a car in Shands Road, Hornby, about 10.20pm on Saturday, September 15.
Silcock, who lives with his mother in Burnham, outside Christchurch, was allegedly the driver of a red Toyota involved in the tragedy, which police said could have been the result of racing or an overtaking move.
Today his lawyer James Rapley got him a registrar's remand until October 16, with bail to be continued.
