KEY POINTS:
The man charged with the hit-and-run murder of south Auckland businesswoman Joanne Wang has today been named as Jacob Junior Shadrock.
The 21-year-old appeared in Manukau District Court today and was remanded in custody to appear again next month. He had earlier been granted name suppression but that was not extended when he appeared today.
He was one of six people charged after Mrs Wang suffered fatal injuries when she was run down as she tried to get her handbag back after it was snatched in a Manukau shopping mall carpark on June 16. She died the next day in hospital.
Three others appeared separately during the morning session at the court.
Mateni Lynch, 19, Manaaki Tekanawa, 22, and Terence Tere, 21, all faced charges of being an accessory after the fact of murder.
Two others, Vila Lemanu, 24, and Dalton Harris, 21, also faced accessory charges. They appeared during the court's afternoon session.
All six were remanded in custody for another appearance on August 20.
