A group of former students at an Auckland school have taken their claims of historical abuse to a Wellington law firm.
Five former students from Kelston School of the Deaf have come forward with complaints of abuse dating back to 1965 until 1984.
The claims range from physical assault between pupils, some allegations of sexual assault and psychological abuse.
A lawyer at Cooper Legal, Sonja Cooper, said most relate to one particular teacher who no longer teaches at that school.
She said there could still be more people yet to speak out about their experiences.
