Historian, author dies

Respected historian, philosopher and author Peter Munz has died at 85.

German-born Dr Munz was a former professor of history at Victoria University and the author of more than a dozen books, including Problems of Religious Knowledge and The Origin of the Carolingian Empire.

His funeral will be held today in Wellington.
