One person was seriously injured in a two-truck crash on State Highway 2 south of Eketahuna this morning.
The Fire Service cut one person from the crash, which happened about 5.30am. One patient was flown to Palmerston North Hospital with serious injuries.
Another victim was taken to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.
Diversions are in place while the serious crash unit investigates.
The highway is closed between South Rd and Opaki Bridge, south of Eketahuna, and motorists should expect delays for the next two hours.
