An early morning high speed chase has landed a Featherston motorcycle rider in court.
Jayden Andrew Kerr-Manning, 18, appeared in Masterton District Court yesterday, facing charges of reckless driving, driving while forbidden, failing to stop for police and breach of community work.
Police pursued Kerr-Manning after he allegedly failed to pull over for a routine traffic stop at about 3am last Sunday.
He rode through an area not designed for cars but the police officer in pursuit managed to get his car through and arrested Kerr-Manning on Woodward St.
In court, he pleaded not guilty to the breach and was remanded by Judge Mary O'Dwyer on the other charges to May 28.
