Cory Jenkins from the White under-6 team grabbed the individual limelight on a mixed day for Rams teams in the Wairarapa-Bush JAB rugby competitions last Saturday.
The elusive Jenkins stamped himself as a player of the future by utilising an impressive sidestep as he ran in no fewer than five tries, and there was plenty to like about his passing skills as well.
Both the under-6 matches played by the Rams White team were classic affairs.
They lost the first 11-10 to Marist with the lead changing several times during the game, while the second against Pioneer was similarly tight, Rams White scraping home 8-7.
The Rams Black under-13 side continued their winning ways with a solid performance over Martinborough but the White team in the same grade had their hands full against a rampant Carterton.
