Career diplomat Malcolm McGoun will be New Zealand's next High Commissioner to South Africa, Foreign Minister Winston Peters announced yesterday.
Mr McGoun, currently chief of protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, will take up the position in March. He will also be accredited to 10 other African countries.
Mr McGoun replaces Warren Searell, who will return to Wellington.
