Six months after its launch, the Herald on Sunday enters a new publishing phase tomorrow, with revamped news pages and the debut of a full-colour gloss magazine.
The changes follow the successful launch of the Sunday paper and extensive consultation with readers and advertisers, says editor Shayne Currie.
"We're expanding our news section - with more space for news features and world news - and introducing new travel pages. To accommodate these changes, our sports section moves to the back of the newspaper, where there's also more space to showcase some of the country's best sportswriters."
Tomorrow's Herald on Sunday features the start of a new series about communication and our obsession with cellphones, and we analyse our drinking water - just how safe and clean is it?
The revamped Sunday View magazine boasts the best and most practical lifestyle and entertainment features and the ever-popular seven-day TV listings. Tomorrow's first edition has the results of an extensive reader poll - we reveal your favourite shops, hobbies and other leisure activities.
Currie says the Herald on Sunday will also be stapled, as part of a trial. "We think it will make the compact paper even easier to handle, but we'll be guided by our readers' preferences. Our reader research shows the compact size of the paper is proving to be a huge winner."
