Delivery of the New Zealand Herald newspaper to homes in the Auckland region has been delayed this morning.
Delivery to homes in some suburbs will be delayed by up to six hours.
Bundles of newspapers started arriving in the CBD at around 10.45am, so shop sales have commenced.
The delay is due to a massive power outage at the newspaper's printing plant in Ellerslie overnight, caused by storm damage.
The editors also advise that some newspapers, when delivered, may still be missing the Business Section and the Family Notices.
This omission is regretted, but the contents of both those sections are searchable here online at nzherald.co.nz.
Readers' patience in this matter is appreciated.
