Hemmings murder accused appears in court

The man accused of murdering Auckland man Austin Hemmings has made a brief appearance in the Auckland District Court.

A pre-depositions hearing was held this morning for Pauesi Leofa Brown. He has been remanded back in custody for another callover later this month.

Mr Hemmings, a Devonport father of three, was fatally stabbed after going to the aid of a woman in central Auckland in September.
