A year after the tsunami's killer waves hit Sri Lanka, a group of Wellington architecture students have gone there to help with rebuilding.
Fourteen fourth-year students and four staff from Victoria University's School of Architecture have flown to the capital, Colombo, where they will work with local architectural firms for five weeks.
The project is the brainchild of Sri Lankan-born Victoria lecturer Shenunka De Sylva, who is leading the group.
