KEY POINTS:
A helicopter has been forced to make an emergency landing at Wenderholm Regional Park, near Waiwera, north of Auckland.
Inspector Gary Hill said it was not clear what forced the emergency landing but there were no injuries.
He said the helicopter was scheduled to land at Dairy Flat but had to go down at Wenderholm.
Mr Hill said there was no damage to the helicopter and all personnel were safe.
Police initially said the helicopter involved belonged to the Air Force, but this was later denied.
