Emergency services are responding to a helicopter crash at Postman Rd, Dairy Flat, north of Auckland.
It's understood the pilot is out of the chopper but it isn't known if they have been injured.
The chopper crashed at the side of the runway at North Shore Aerodrome.
Firefighters are preparing to clear fuel that has been spilled and the pilot is being attended to by paramedics. It's believed he has suffered only minor injuries.
