Aucklanders have chosen today to be on the move and they are jamming the highways in both directions out of the city.
Traffic is congested northbound around the Johnson Hill tunnels, through Warkworth and north of Wellsford.
It's also slow southbound, as Aucklanders return home from a Christmas in the north.
The southern motorway is also a nightmare, slow between Manukau and Takanini, bad through the junction with State Highway two and slow through Huntly.
Traffic between the State Highway two turnoff to Coromandel is thick.
