Areas of Otago could be in for heavy snowfall tomorrow, which may affect air travel.
The snowfall would most be around Otago, but could also affect Southland and Canterbury, Philip Duncan of Weather Watch said.
"There's quite a big low just off the west coast of the South Island bringing in a pool of moist air and that's going to mix with some polar air and create some snow," he said.
Snow was possible down to 100m, with heavier snow over 200m.
"It's certainly one for farmers to be well aware of and anybody who has to drive through that part of the country," he said.
