Heavy rain is causing problems for motorists on the Brynderwyn Hills road, north of Auckland, tonight.
A police spokesman said the road - State Highway 1 - was down to one lane due to numerous slips.
Contractors were working to clear it, however it was still raining heavily, he said.
No vehicles or people were caught in the slips.
