A heavily pregnant Rotorua mother drove while two and half times over the legal alcohol limit, a court has been told.
Twenty six weeks pregnant Kylie Wilson was stopped four hours after getting her driver's licence returned from a previous drink-driving conviction, Rotorua's Daily Post newspaper said.
The 25-year-old appeared in Rotorua District Court last week after admitting drink-driving in Rotorua on September 9.
Wilson blew an alcohol reading more than twice the legal limit of 967mcg of alcohol per litre of breath. The limit is 400mcg.
Police have applied to have Wilson's car confiscated because this is her third or subsequent drink-driving conviction.
Judge Chris McGuire adjourned sentencing, remanding Wilson on bail for pre-sentence and home detention reports. She is to be sentenced on January 24.
