Three senior officials at Queensland Health have been stood down over the multi-million dollar allegedly committed by a New Zealander.
The three are not accused of any involvement in the scam, but are in strife over their failure to spot what Hohepa Morehu-Barlow was up to.
Queensland Premier Anna Bligh said she wanted to find out what went wrong.
"As I have said, this incident is a serious, the most serious breach of trust, and I am very angry about some of the circumstances surrounding it,'' she says.
There have been reports financial irregularities were spotted a year ago, but an investigation found nothing untoward.
