Masterton woman Alannah Bolt, who suffered a heart attack while chasing a suspected shoplifter last week, has been moved from Wellington Hospital's intensive care unit into a ward and remains in a stable condition.
The 21-year-old Farmers sales assistant, along with a co-worker, chased a 23-year-old woman who was suspected to have stolen a handbag from the store.
She collapsed at the end of a lane off Queen St, where off-duty St John officer Cheryl Cavanagh performed CPR.
The 23-year-old charged with theft appeared at Masterton District Court on Monday, where she was remanded on bail to appear again on November 21.
