A South Otago woman rugby player is in Dunedin Hospital in an induced coma and another woman is before the Otago Rugby Football Union judiciary after an alleged kicking incident during a club game.
An Alhambra Union club player appeared before a three-member judicial panel last night after the incident during a game against the Crescent team from South Otago.
The injured player, Nikita Karaitiana, was kicked in the head during a ruck and left the field.
