The hearing for Algerian refugee Ahmed Zaoui, which began on July 9, ended in Auckland yesterday.
Its purpose was to determine whether the Security Intelligence Service was correct in its assessment that the once-elected Algerian MP poses a security risk and should not remain in New Zealand.
A result is expected this year.
