KEY POINTS:
Crown prosecutors and defence lawyers will meet on August 24 to discuss a possible date for a depositions hearing into the drive-by killing of Wanganui toddler Jhia Te Tua.
Jhia was shot on May 5 as she lay on a couch in a front room of her parents' Puriri St home in what police say was a gang-related incident.
The hearing on Friday week will also consider the possibility of witnesses being able to give evidence anonymously.
Police allege rivalries between the Mongrel Mob and Black Power led to the shooting after a series of violent incidents around the city.
Jhia's father was a patched Black Power member.
Police arrested nine of the men after a series of raids in Wanganui, Marton and Northland on June 13. Two others were arrested on June 5 and the 12th man on June 14.
Twelve men charged with her murder have been named after Judge John Clapham lifted a suppression order.
The accused are: Tyrone Box, James Challis, Karl Check, Ranji Forbes, Michael Kumeroa, Geoffrey Muraahi, Erueti Nahona, Kenneth Smith, Hayden Wallace, Chance Church, Richard Puohotaua and Noel Broughton.
Police allege the men - all patched Mongrel Mob members or associates - were in three cars involved in the shooting.
Church, Puohotaua and Broughton are on bail.
The remaining nine are in custody by consent until September 6.
