A head-on collision between two vehicles is causing peak-hour traffic chaos in central Wellington today.
The collision took place on Waterloo Quay, south of the stadium and north of Bunny St, shift commander Inspector Chris Tate said.
"There are minor injuries, one 55-year-old man was taken by ambulance to hospital but it is more precautionary.
"I'm not sure of the severity of impact."
The traffic had backed up along the waterfront quays from the Railway Station to the Basin Reserve, Mr Tate said.
