Wairarapa MP John Hayes is leading a cross-party delegation to China for 10 days this month, following on from Prime Minister John Key's announcement of a $30 billion trade goal with China by 2015.
"A visit by the parliamentary delegation to China will help to broaden New Zealand's engagement with China, particularly as we will be visiting key provincial areas such as Yunnan," said Mr Hayes.
Such areas had not been visited by parliamentarians before.
Mr Hayes will be joined by Winston Peters, Phil Goff, Paul Hutchison and David Shearer.
