Two teams of students from Hawke’s Bay have achieved success in national robotics competitions and are now set to represent New Zealand at the world championships in the US next year.
The first team of six students from Havelock North High School and Havelock North Intermediate competed and triumphed in the national First Lego League Robotics competition in Auckland.
Their performance at the competition earned the team the national championship title and the chance to compete on the global stage.
They will join the top 0.5% of teams worldwide who qualify. There, they will represent New Zealand as the Blackbots.
