Hawke's Bay man arrested over P lab bust

A man was arrested in Hawke's Bay during a methamphetamine, or P, lab bust this morning.

Police carried out a search warrant at a house in Taradale, 8km southwest of Napier, at 9am and found the lab, Sergeant Steve Murray of Napier police said.

A 39-year-old local man was arrested and charged with possession of precursor materials relating to the manufacture of methamphetamine.

He will appear in Napier District Court this afternoon.

The house would remain under police guard until at least tomorrow before the materials were taken away, Mr Murray said.
