KEY POINTS:
Parts of Hawke's Bay were shaken when the region was struck by a 4.0 earthquake this morning.
The quake, at 5.27am, was centred 10km north-west of Porangahau, in southern Hawke's Bay, at a depth of 40km.
GNS Science said the quake was likely to have been felt in Porangahau, Dannevirke and Waipukurau.
