Hawke's Bay hit by 4.3 level quake

An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale shook Hawke's Bay about noon today.

The quake was centred 40km south of Hastings, at a depth of 50km at 12.03pm, GNS science reported.

It was felt in the Hawke's Bay.
