Five as-new Harley-Davidson motorcycles built between 1983 and 1992 - some still in shipping crates - are going under the hammer at the Sydney motor show over Labour Weekend. The sleeping Harleys come from the same Sydney collection and consist of a metallic blue/gold 1992 FXDB Dyna Glide Daytona, a cream 1983 FLHPB Electra Glide Police Special; a silver 1990 FLSTF Fat Boy; an orange and cream 1991 FLSTF Fat Boy; a black 1991 FXDB Dyna Sturgis Anniversary model. Also up for grabs is a 1998 Ducati 916SPS Carl Fogarty replica.
Record attempt
Mazda MX-5 owners in New Zealand will tomorrow try to get into the Guinness Book of World Records. They will meet at Auckland's Alexandra Park at 11.30am hoping to be part of the world's largest parade of MX-5 sports cars. Mazda New Zealand will use the get-together to launch the new, third-generation model.

Dentists in New York are offering sets of temporary teeth veneers at $2000 a pop to make patients' smiles resemble those of celebrities. Popular veneers for women are the "Halle" (Berry), the "Britney" (Spears) and the "Gwyneth" (Paltrow). For men, it's the "Tom" (Cruise) and the "George" (Clooney). The dentists are among "lifestyle designers", professionals who charge serious money to provide people with all-new personas including proper wardrobe and home decor down to which gifts to give and which holidays to take.
The Wall Street Journal says an advertising agency owner who wanted to project a "carefree" image was told to buy herself a turquoise 1955 Ford Thunderbird and wear cowboy boots and a bright red scarf around town.
