Hard at it

POSSESSION is keenly sought during play in the first XV rugby match between Rathkeale and Lindisfarne Colleges played at Rathkeale. A well taken try to Herewini Haeata, converted by Matt Dalley, gave Rathkeale an early lead but Lindisfarne hit back with an intercept try and went on to win 27-7. The first X1 hockey match between the two colleges saw Rathkeale come back from 2-0 down to lead 3-2 before the scores were levelled up at 4-4. Hamish Merriman starred for Rathkeale. Lindisfarne beat a very young Rathkeale side 6-0 in the first XI soccer but in the under-15 rugby it was Rathkeale who called the tune, winning 20-10.
