Auckland Harbour Bridge is now clear after a mixing truck poured its contents over the bridge at lunchtime today.
Police and traffic management had completed the clean up operation within two hours, and by ten past three this afternoon things were back to normal.
Traffic throughout the rest of the city has not been affected.
A spokesman for motorway traffic authorities said the truck began losing its load at the start of the bridge on the North Shore side, and the mess continued in the south-bound number one lane to the city side.
Police were unable to intercept the concrete truck, so it remains unknown who was responsible.
