Traffic is now clearing after breakdowns on the Auckland Harbour Bridge and in the Victoria Park Tunnel caused major rush-hour jams.
An northbound breakdown on the Auckland Harbour Bridge during the morning rush hour jammed traffic back to Spaghetti Junction as traffic heading to the North Shore was forced to merge into the two outer lanes.
The truck has since been moved, but long queues stretched back kilometres through the Victoria Park tunnel to the major central city motorway junction.
It was followed by a second breakdown in the tunnel heading north.
