Maori Party MP Hone Harawira was reportedly approached by disgraced former Act MP David Garrett in an airport lounge last night and called a "racist hater".
On his Twitter account, TV3 political reporter Patrick Gower said Mr Garrett had walked up to Mr Harawira and called him a "racist hater" before asking if he was "enjoying the scrutiny".
Mr Gower tweeted that Mr Garrett then sarcastically added "couldn't happen to a nicer guy".
