When Hank the bulldog catches sight of his skateboard, there's no stopping him - that is, until the skateboard has to be confiscated. The 3-year-old bulldog, adopted as a pup by Glen Powell and partner Harriet Latchem in Queenstown, has always rolled rather than walk.
"He just kind of did it and he was obsessed with it," Ms Latchem said.
"As soon as he saw the skateboard he was obsessed."
Hank's first skateboard was one he pilfered from Mr Powell, but his present board was given to him by a local skate shop. His usual style is to put either two or three legs on the board and use the others to gather speed.
Standing next to the board, he is able to flick it so it changes direction, but sometimes a wall, or workshop door stands in Hank's way.
