KEY POINTS:
The man accused of murdering Tony Stanlake, whose handless body was found on a Wellington beach, goes on trial today.
The case against Daniel Moore, 22, is expected to take up to six weeks in the High Court in Wellington.
The body of 62-year-old Wellington businessman Mr Stanlake, minus his hands, was found washed up at Red Rocks Beach on the South coast on July 9 2006.
Moore allegedly killed Mr Stanlake to gain control of the profits of the pair's cannabis growing operation, run from Moore's flat in the Wellington suburb Miramar.
