Hamilton residents are being warned they may face further water restrictions if they don't take steps to reduce consumption.
Warm and dry weather prompted Hamilton City Council to introduce restrictions earlier in the month, including banning the use of garden sprinklers during set hours, but waters manager Tim Harty said current usage levels indicated that residents were not actively conserving water.
"This may result in much tighter restrictions for both residents and commercial/non-residential properties" he said.
