The Hamilton City Council and its closest neighbours are partnering to add a touch of winter festivity to Hamilton's Rugby World Cup celebrations.
An ice rink will be established in Garden Place from September 15 for five weeks, giving residents and tourists the chance to hit the ice away from the match excitement.
The Holland-sourced ice rink is being reconfigured after being used in the American Ice Hockey Tour last month.
Waipa and Waikato District Councils will contribute $2000 each to the costs.
