Hamilton police are warning people to stay away from a "possibly armed" man wanted for breaching his bail.
City area commander Inspector Rob Lindsay said 19-year-old Hamilton man Tukino Te Takinga Te Rangi, has a prolific history of dishonesty offending, mostly for burglary.
"We understand Te Rangi is using methamphetamine and we also believe he has access to firearms so he should not be approached, rather anyone who sees him should dial 111."
Known as 'Tuki', Te Rangi is described as a male Maori of medium build about 174cm tall.
Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Carl Moon at the Hamilton Central Police Station on 07 858 6200, or anonymously on the CrimeStoppers confidential crimeline 0800 555111.
