Police have named a Hamilton man as one of the fatal crash victims killed in Ngāhinapōuri, Waikato on Sunday.
He was 60-year-old Peter Brett Van Syp, of Dinsdale.
Van Syp died in a single-vehicle crash on Kakaramea Rd or State Highway 39 on February 9.
In a statement, police have extended sympathies to his friends and family.
The crash happened at about 8.55am. Van Syp died at the scene.
“Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing,” police said.
There were two fatal crashes in Ngāhinapōuri on Sunday.
Less than 24 hours after Van Syp was killed, another crash claimed the life of one more person on Oregan Rd at about 7.45pm.
Privacy appears at the heart of the Government's concerns.
