A man will appear on a charge of murder this morning after police found a man fatally stabbed in his Hamilton home last week.
Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Page said the man was arrested at a house near where Nigel Les McQueen, 46, was found dead in the Hamilton suburb of Melville.
Mr Page said the unemployed 43 year-old will appear in the Hamilton District Court this morning charged with murder.
"The investigation is continuing while detectives finalise the sequence of events surrounding the death," said Mr Page.
Police found the Mr McQueen critically wounded last Friday. He died despite attempts by police and ambulance staff to resuscitate him.
