Hairy misconceptions about hair colour

A New Zealand national hair survey has thrown up some hairy results.

Apparently blondes aren't dumb, and they don't have more fun.

As unbelievable as those findings might seem to non-blondes, the 78,800 New Zealanders who took part in the SunSilk National Hair Survey can't be wrong.

Key findings:

* 15 per cent of blonde women surveyed earned more than $30,000 a year - the same as brunettes and redheads.

* Blondes don't party any more than brunettes and redheads.

* Blondes and brunettes are on par in men's ideal sexual fantasies - 37 per cent of gentlemen prefer blondes, 36 per cent go for brunettes, 8 per cent are hot for redheads.

* Men (46 per cent) and women (44 per cent) both said the best sex they've ever had was with a brunette

* Women are far more likely to say they would rather have great hair than great sex (22 per cent vs 6 per cent).

* 51 per cent of women would rather sleep with a baldy than a mullet.
